I've just made an upload to fix the upgrade path as well.

At first I was reluctant to do that by way of "What happens in
unstable stays in unstable", but once the user has an old diff from
experimental installed it's too late to fix the problem only by
modifying the diff in experimental, as it's the old diff in experimental
and the new diffutils in unstable the ones having a problem.
