Package: synaptic
Version: 0.62.7+b1
Severity: serious

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
When I try to select a range of packages to upgrade in synaptic by left mouse
clicking
on the first upgrade and holding shift and left mouse clicking on the last
upgrade,
synaptic crashes. I ran from the command line to see if any errors come out
but none did.
This is reproducible every time. I upgrade all packages this way every day on
my squeeze box. It worked
yesterday but not today.

I can no longer just use mark all upgrades because of another bug.
I have upstart installed and when I use mark all upgrades, it always tries to
remove upstart and
install sysvinit. I submitted a bug report for upstart on this a long time ago.
