thanks for the bug report and some information from the upstream bug: The plexus-maven-plugin is obsolete. Its functionality is now provided plexus-component-metadata which employs a newer QDox version. Thanks for the comment. At least plexus-active-collections, maven-assembly-plugin, and maven-repository-builder still seem to (maybe indirectly) depend on the obsolete plexus-maven-plugin. I'll check those, too.
