Are you sure the flickering is no xorg issue?

Can you just test this using .xinitrc and startx? I never 
experienced something like this. Any further information on 
how to reproduce that? I am not familar with LXDE. I am 
downgrading this bug as it doesn't render the package 
unusable for everyone, you're the first one reporting 
something like that.
