Ok, i can't test 1.96+20090317-1 because snapshot.debian.net is down. So i tested 1.96+20080724-16. And manually executed in grub console: load /grub/ascii.pff set gfxmode=640x480 insmod vbe insmod gfxterm terminal gfxterm And it switched to the graphical mode! :) So now we only need to find exactly where the regression began. I will try to find 20090317, and then try bisection. -- Witold Baryluk
