The change needed is rather trivial and should be easily backported. The commit is 8bc3477690728ec2c61e8240b63df15b06de933a. It replaces the two occurences of the string '=*=PROVIDED=*=' in lib/Sbuild/Build.pm with '~*=PROVIDED=*=' (The first '=' is replaced with '~'). I hope this increases the chances for fixing it sooner. Thanks! -- dam
