Hi, Upon further investigation, lenny's version of the users-admin tool removed the ldap users from /etc/group and /etc/gshadow, and left only the local and old users after creating a user. The first time I tested it I didn't notice the removal, as I was expecting something more noticeable as a two lines /etc/group.
Apparently users-admin does modifications to the local groups based on some system configuration, thats obviuosly not document, and certainly wrong. In my case users-admin would not take into account the ldap, and in the case of the submitter it wont consider almost any group. -- "Haskell is faster than C++, more concise than Perl, more regular than Python, more flexible than Ruby, more typeful than C#, more robust than Java, and has absolutely nothing in common with PHP." -- Audrey Tang Saludos /\/\ /\ >< `/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
