I hadn't got such problems with 3.2.x, just that it was *terrible* slow
(typing a letter and until it appears ~ 1 sec).

I also build 3.4.2 and had got the same issue.

Your comments:
java does not support the -c option.
No package provides a usr/bin/javap, I also tried out kaffe,
sun-java6-jdk, the open pendant etc..
