Oops, sorry for not noticing #315634. Another thing to consider here: util-linux seems to use slang due to cfdisk, and for the sole reason that boot-floppies used to be slang-oriented (see #52559 and http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2001/03/msg00153.html )
If no other arguemnts for using slang with cfdisk have surfaced since then, would it make sense to think about switching to ncurses, now that those legacy reasons are no longer valid?
