The semantics of the xlibs-dev package have inadvertently changed with the introduction of xorg-x11 to unstable, because a number of libraries are no longer part of xlibs-static-dev and nothing else ensures that they're pulled in by xlibs-dev. Ultimately, it would be nice if bookmarkbridge (and other such packages) would build-depend on the specific X libraries they need, rather than on xlibs-dev; in the meantime, I have asked for xlibs-dev to depend on the -dev packages for these other libs that have suddenly disappeared from the catch-all. -- Steve Langasek postmodern programmer
