Package: libgmp3c2 Version: 2:4.2.4+dfsg-8 Severity: grave -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
After upgrading libgmp3c2 to version 2:4.2.4+dfsg-8, compiling any C file with gcc-4.3 or gcc-4.4 fails with ... <file name>:<number of last line>: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction ... Downgrading libgmp3c2 to 2:4.2.4+dfsg-2 fixes this with the rest of the system left at current sid. I haven't been able to catch the SIGILL in gdb and investigate further, but I suspect the illegal instruction could be from the ppc64 instruction set, as this problem doesn't seem to happen on a ppc64 machine. - -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (102, 'experimental') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29.3 Locale: LANG=de_CH.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_CH.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libgmp3c2 depends on: ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries libgmp3c2 recommends no packages. libgmp3c2 suggests no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFKDUmeWoGvjmrbsgARAuTiAJ95MrNkAiLA/4Wyrm/JjUeUdM6XgwCgnc1d NlzNbv60JA6VcBk44oYN1KU= =fHqb -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
