No, you don't need to do that; I was saying that only to be clear that
the package behaves correctly in a minimal environment, not only in my
development system.

Right.

Okay, I am currently migrating the package to use ‘python-support’
(instead of the current use of ‘python-central’) anyway; once that
release is in Debian we'll see if this bug still occurs.
