Hi Sebastian i had the same bug and i must say it was really annoying i tried this last week and it worked for me.It seems that there is a copy of mime file assosiations in your .local directory. I just deleted this and it worked fine for me. rm -rf ~/.local/share/mime Maybe you will have to logout and login again - gdm - in order the effect to take place.
