OK, I will upgrade the system next time via apt (instead of synaptic) so I can copy and paste the output. But I may not have access to this computer for several days. Isn't there any other sid user than can reproduce the problem?
I was also setting an environmental variable in /etc/rc.local, /etc/environment and /etc/bash.bashrc . It should not influence, because I reverted the changes before having the problem, the only differences could be at maximim some extra blank lines in those files. But who knows... The second package was texlive-lang-spanish, and I had nothing about locales in the output, just the cryptic message I mentioned before. It may even be two different bugs in glib, but it would be much coincidence... David > Sorry, but they are clearly not enough details to understand the > problem.
