reassign #524286 splashy
reassign #523449 splashy
severity #524286 critical
merge #523449 #524286
retitle #523449 splashy prevents kernel modules to load
thanks

Hello,

I just read #524286 which has the same symptoms as my bug. Removing
splashy and rebuilding the initrd makes my whole Linux laptop happy again.

Maybe this bug could also be merged with #524275 and #523187.

So I reassigned both to splashy and thanks to holger, don, meskes and
cristau for their previous help with this issue.
