I think that you use firebug which was installed as user's plugin.
Please try to create a new profile for iceweasel (You can temporary
remove/rename your ~/.mozilla directory).

Plugins which were installed by user into the ~/.mozilla directory are
act plugins which were installed by root. This is not a bug, this is
feature of iceweasel/firefox :)
