Hi Michael! No configuration file has been changed but /etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh was renamed to powerbtn.sh.dpkg-bak therefore, powerbtn-acpi-support.sh is now calling shutdown instead of calling this script. In /etc/acpi/events, I have powerbtn-acpi-support whose content is: event=button[ /]power action=/etc/acpi/powerbtn-acpi-support.sh I don't have /etc/acpi/events/powerbtn. I suppose that a previous upgrade has removed it. Since /etc/acpi/powerbtn-acpi-support.sh is calling /etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh, I did not notice the change until powerbtn.sh was renamed. If powerbtn.sh should go away, it could have been handled by ucf that would have prompted the user before replacing the file by something empty (or with just comments). Since the script is already gone, this is a bit complicated to do it now. In Lenny, it seems (I have not really tried, I say this just from the changelog) that /etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh is still shipped. If a user modifies this file, it should be a way to keep its changes or to warn it about this (through a Debconf question?). -- /* * For moronic filesystems that do not allow holes in file. * We may have to extend the file. */ 2.4.0-test2 /usr/src/linux/fs/buffer.c
