I'm not sure what "-L" is supposed to be doing. And I will argue that libtool is correct that it's not valid. Maybe this could be changed into a warning, but I don't see why we should do that. In any case, I don't see why you would think this is a serious problem in libtool, so I'm changing severity. I'm also inclined to just reassign it back to zorp.
