I'd say that "important" is more appropriate here.
Its description explicitly states it is "pre-release".

I agree that a lot of filters are still missing, and the explain scripts
also need a lot of work. Last time I checked, cruft reported no cruft
for a minimal installation (as done by debootstrap).

So it is usable right now for some people (who don't install many
packages and take some effort to create filters for their systems).

I would really love for this to be true at some point. Sadly at this
moment, for a real-world desktop installation, if cruft complains about
something it is still more likely to be a missing filter in cruft rather
than actual problem on the system.

Thanks for the report. Maybe you'll find some time to track down some of
the erroneus reports and file more concrete bugs with patches to fix
them in cruft?
