Justification: renders package unusable
Since a recent upgrade, pdflatex now uses bitmap (Type 3) fonts in
math formulas (see very simple example under "minimal input file").
As this is a serious regression (bitmap fonts look awful with some
tools), I've set the severity to "grave".
FYI, here's the pdflatex and pdffonts output on this machine:

I wonder if there's a problem with the file

Is it normal that the cmmi10 line is missing on the Debian/unstable
machine?
