and then reinstall python-formencode. If it will not work (let me know about it), try to install 1.0.1-1 again, remove it and then install 1.2.1-2 (or 1.2.2-1) (python-central isn't (wasn't? see 479852) removing .pyc files during upgrades and I removed the "DH_PYCENTRAL=nomove" in 1.1-1, that's probably a reason)
