tags 505872 + fixed-upstream thanks This was fixed upstream in revision 330 "configure.in: patch from dodji seketeli to change configure.in", and the fix is included in 0.1.10. The fix was to use AC_USE_SYSTEM_EXTENSIONS to define _GNU_SOURCE globally.
Somewhat off topic: I tried compiling the new upstream release and it built with no problems (with no changes in the diff.gz except for the new changelog entry).
