Thanks for your report. I am aware of the issue. It is Caret expecting VTK 5.0 and not the recently uploaded 5.2. http://lists.debian.org/debian-med/2009/03/msg00018.html However, uploading an (already prepared) package would make no sense right now, since VTK is broken ATM: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=516756 More precisely, the vtk-dev package being version 5.2, while the libs on most platforms are still version 5.0. And looking at https://buildd.debian.org/~luk/status/package.php?p=vtk it seems like yesterdays upload did not fix it.
