Popcon for this has stayed around 30 votes + 70 recent (although installations have steadily risen to 450).
I can get some functionality from it, notably most of the buttons work if you hilight the text to be affected first. However, IMO this bug should stay RC; the package isn't ready for stable until its fixed. According to bug #474375 (fixed in version 3.1-1), the package used to include an installer script. I suspect the some of that script's functionalty is now missing. The crashes seem to be because several variables aren't defined. For opening the "Help" and "FAQ" pages, the undefined variable is sChemindmaths.
