Package: wavsplit
Version: 1.1.0-3
Severity: grave
Justification: causes non-serious data loss
Hi,
I have a 4,7 GB wav file i'm trying to split into multiple files.
When i'm running wavsplit on this file i have the following output:
$ wavsplit -H ~/misc/mp3/audio.wav 03:00:00
WAVSPLIT version 1.1.0 (http://www.fomalhaut.de)
Licensed under GPL by author Tobias Weihmann
Hour patch by Sacha Bartok (sa...@myrealbox.com)
Modified for frames, hours, seconds, decimal seconds by Alan Fitch
INFO: Hours:mins:sec format selected
Could not open file.
wavsplit is build without Large File Support but heave with wavsplit
rebuild with -D_LARGFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64, the size of the
splitted wav files is only 2GB and not 4.7GB.
Cheers

The wavsplit package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/489456 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
Kind regards,
