found 509260 3.0-1 thanks link-monitor-applet's tarball contains C code generated from .gob files by gob2. We don't compile it from the real source (the .gob files) but from the generated C code, which is not the preferred form for modification.
Also, we don't actually have a new enough version of gob2 for this package:
as noted by the submitter, the upstream maintainer generated the C code
with their own patched version of gob2. So not only can we not guarantee
that the C code corresponds to the .gob files, we can't even regenerate
the C code. This seems like a disaster waiting to happen, e.g. if
link-monitor-applet needs a security upload.
