Package: libwxgtk2.4
Version: 2.4.3.1
Severity: serious

I have installed X.org from the official packages of debian and after
the installation, when I try to install this library, I got an error
that tells me the package can't be installed because it depends of
"xlibmesa-glu", that is only present in Xfree, in X.org a package named
libglu1-xorg is used instead of xlibmesa-glu, this is the output of
apt-get:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ # apt-get install libwxgtk2.4
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libwxgtk2.4: Depends: xlibmesa-glu but it is not going to be installed
or
                        libglu1
E: Broken packages

I am using Debian GNU/Linux SID, Linux 2.6.11.8 #3 SMP with libc6
2.3.2.ds1-22

Thank you.

Hi,

Wow that was quick. You'd better grab a banjo or guitar as we have
a number of transitions taking place at present. I uploaded wx2.4.4
yesterday which takes care of the -c2 transition but not the switch
to xorg. If my build machine survives that transition, I'll rebuild
and re-upload shortly.

In the meantime, I'm closing this, as its not so much a 'bug' as a
known transient condition that affects quite a few packages.

cheers,
Ron
