Package: hpijs Version: 2.1.2+0.9.2-2 Severity: grave At debconf5 we tried to setup cups and hpijs for an HP laserjet 3500 on powerpc machines. Apparently this causes a wrong command stream to be sent to the printer which trying to print anything. The only output is an error page complaining about the input. This happened on 2 different sarge installs. It does work on little endian architectures (we tested i386 and arm), so this is most likely to be an endianess bug. The printer is connected to ethernet via a usb jetdirect box.
