Dato, Not sure if we are misusing terms. I certainly haven't ever proposed to recommend anything on behalf of the release team. I was just making a recommendation to the package maintainer on what I as another DD saw as the best way forward. If you like I can use another term other than 'recommend', perhaps 'suggest' or something else? > In this case, what you propose is not okay (it hints that the new > upstream version should be uploaded to unstable, and it should not be). In this context Romain suggested that he only upload the fixed package to lenny and upload a new package to sid: ! fix the package in lenny, as well as uploading a new package for sid I was suggesting that he upload the fixed package to sid (not the new package), but agree my wording could of been more specific. Just to clear things up I certainly don't want to see the new package in unstable. Romain. If you really do want to upload the new upstream release, then I would suggest you use the experimental distribution until lenny is released.
