It's not being postponed, I've finished updating my patch to yasm 0.7.0, in a way that should be quite easy to accept, as the added code is guarded by an if (tasm_compatible_mode). I've started pushing the yasm changes to upstream, which is very responsive and have already applied the first fixes I've sent.
