Seems you card does not handle the default game resolution. I'm Cc-ing Vincent Bernat which is taking over this package, and might be able to patch the game by himself (as i don't think waiting for author's fixes would be the right strategy).
I agree Slune is does not handling problems properly, and it really should be solved, but playing a 3D game without glx support (#393274), a working sound system (#494576), or with a broken X configuration (#500324), is quite weirdo. As it is not a very important package, and as it is working for many people, i don't think having it RC would help at all. In fact, thus near to the release, this would end up having it removed from Lenny, and as the bug surely resides in soya, would kick soya and all other soya rdepends out of Lenny too. I'd rather like to avoid this situation, so i'm downgrading the severity.
