Package: aptitude
Version: 0.2.15.9-2
Severity: grave

I just upgraded dpkg, apt, apt-utils in a sid chroot:=20

Get:1 http://localhost sid/main dpkg 1.13.10 [1811kB]
Err http://localhost experimental/main/binary-all/ tetex-doc 3.0-3
  404 Not Found
Get:2 http://localhost sid/main apt-utils 0.6.38 [188kB]
Get:3 http://localhost sid/main apt 0.6.38 [1192kB]
Get:4 http://localhost sid/main libncursesw5 5.4-8 [305kB]
Get:5 http://localhost sid/main libncurses5 5.4-8 [289kB]
Get:6 http://localhost sid/main cpp 4:3.3.6-1 [29,8kB]

(the tetex-doc deb file in localhost/experimental is indeed missing, no
puzzle here). Since then, I can run dselect of apt-get, but aptitude
fails:

# aptitude install tex-common
aptitude: error while loading shared libraries: libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5.so.3.3=
: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Probably you just need to recompile aptitude against current
libapt-pkg-whatever - the version in sid is now so.3.9.

Regards, Frank
