mktemp is safe enough. I think Dmitry refers to lines 3 and 4 of that script: echo "$@" > /tmp/log.obr.$$ echo "$#" >> /tmp/log.obr.$$ which I agree should not be there, probably leftover debug code? cheers, Thijs
