I can't reproduce this on my alpha here. So this may be a problem with how goetz is set up, rather than a general alpha problem. I've given insserv back on alpha to see whether it's reproducible or if this was a fluke, but goetz is the only buildd that I see alive for alpha currently, so if it fails again then I think we need to find a sourceful fix (or figure out what's wrong with the buildd) for release.
