I disabled dbus monthes ago though kded still starts. I guess that after killing dbus, starting a new kde application should restart kded without dbus (thohg i could not check having dbus disabled :( It would help to know if the issue bug is in dbus-qt/suspend or in kded/suspend (and redirect to the adhoc maintainer).
