Package: fetchmail Version: 6.3.9~rc2-3 Severity: grave I'm running lenny/testing and have fetchmail fetching mail from pop3 mailboxes and passing it to exim (packages exim4, exim4-base, exim4-config and exim4-daemon-light all version 4.69-6).
fetchmail has just lost 3 out of 10 messages. I think because the From address in the message is malformed. Fetchmail needs to be able to deliver messages with malformed From addresses. The From line is quite likely to be malformed as the pop3 server uses the SMTP envelope From address when placing the message in the pop3 mailbox. In fact the pop3 server recorded the envelope-from address in the received line it added.
