(Previously they pulled in automake 1.7, but now the pull in automake 1.10). The fix is straightforward. Instead of shipping the changes in the debian diff.gz directly, move the patch to debian/patches. The patch system correctly takes care of the timestamps, the debian diff.gz does not.
