Thanks for the report. This was fixed upstream - http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=guile.git;a=commit;h=00ec6b610f75cf9ddc845a3c04c20c964c861ccb - prior to the upstream Guile 1.8.5 release. I believe we are very close to having a Guile 1.8.5 release build on all architectures in sid, so that should then propagate into lenny, and make this report moot.
