Hi there,

i just took a deep breath and start debbuging the problem...
i have at the bottom the diff of what i did in order to fix the problem.
as i'm a programmer but i don't know splashy internals i think
the fault of this bug is splashys BUT with this patch we will not only remove
the bug
but let timidity script better for the future...

imho splash counts if a program successfully started when you call log_end_msg 0
so i just add these few lines...

i'll try to contact splashy team to see if they can do a better
handler to scripts, cause i think there are a log of them
that just call exit 0...

Is that reproducible for you?

Well, if all it did was install timidity then I fail to see how it can have
any effect at all, as by default S99timidity does nothing until you
explicitly enable it via /etc/default/timidity.

Could you check the content of that file just to be sure.

I fear that you're having another problem.
