There's a CREDITS.txt file in abiword/. I think it's a bit excessive to name *everyone*, I understand the idea but I think no one will get offended if the copyright file (that anyway not much people read) don't have their names. I'm not in Epiphany's (web browser) copyright file for example despite being credited as a contributor in Help > About, neither other people that have contributed patches and energy to the project over years.
I don't think this is RC, but my opinion is an outsider opinion, so feel free to correct me :).
