Iceweasel 3.0~rc2-2 was invariably crashing shortly after program launch on my Debian install. Getting rid of the libjava plugins in /etc/lib/mozilla/plugins and /etc/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins and replacing j2re1.4 by sun-java6-plugin did the trick.
