Package: nut-usb
Version: 2.0.4-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Using "driver = newhidups" with an "APC Smart UPS 750" causes the following
problems (tested on two different machines running Debian Etch:

- The driver doesn't connect to the UPS on system startup, I have to
  wait and restart /etc/init.d/nut manually.

- The connection suddenly gets lost without any event.

- Everytime the UPS goes on battery, the driver disconnects and performs
  a forced shutdown.

(A test installation of nut-usb Version: 2.2.1-2.1ubuntu7.1 on Ubuntu 8.04
works without problems.)
