I gave up trying to get the Zope developers to think about security; they'd rather rewrite everything from the ground up every few years and replace one set of bugs with another, which is fine it is their perogative to do that, but as a result I haven't followed Zope development for about a year, so backporting all the fixes between 2.5 and now, even if I had the time, isn't somthing I really want to help with.
