Lucas, I've been working on fixing FTBFS bugs a lot recently for the new armel port.
I've seen lots of cases where you have failed to reproduce a bug of this type on i386. Please do *not* close bugs as unreproducable unless you check the arch directly reported in the bts. If you look at http://buildd.debian.org/pkg.cgi?pkg=tau you will see that tau is currently failing to build on *EIGHT* archs.
