Package: qc-usb-source Version: 0.6.6-5 Severity: critical Justification: breaks the whole system
When I try to capture using a program such as webcam-server, I don't get any image. Even worst, when I kill webcam-server, I get a kernel oops and need to reboot my system. ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel BUG at mm/slab.c:591! invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] Modules linked in: quickcam videodev v4l2_common v4l1_compat wcfxo zaptel crc_ccitt nfsd auth_rpcgss exportfs video output fan dock container nfs lockd nfs_ acl sunrpc ip6table_filter iptable_raw ipt_ULOG ipt_TTL ipt_ttl ipt_TOS ipt_tos ipt_SAME ipt_REJECT ipt_REDIRECT ipt_recent ipt_owner ipt_NETMAP ipt_MASQUER ADE ipt_LOG ipt_iprange ipt_ECN ipt_ecn ipt_CLUSTERIP ipt_ah ipt_addrtype nf_nat_tftp nf_nat_snmp_basic nf_nat_sip nf_nat_pptp nf_nat_proto_gre nf_nat_irc n f_nat_h323 nf_nat_ftp nf_nat_amanda ts_kmp nf_conntrack_amanda nf_conntrack_tftp nf_conntrack_sip nf_conntrack_proto_sctp nf_conntrack_pptp nf_conntrack_pro to_gre nf_conntrack_netlink nf_conntrack_netbios_ns nf_conntrack_irc nf_conntrack_h323 ipv6 nf_conntrack_ftp xt_helper xt_hashlimit ip6_tables xt_conntrack xt_CONNMARK xt_connmark xt_state iptable_nat nf_nat nf_conntrack_ipv4 nf_conntrack iptable_mangle iptable_filter ip_tables xt_u32 xt_time xt_tcpudp xt_tcpms s xt_string xt_statistic xt_sctp xt_realm xt_quota xt_policy xt_pkttype xt_physdev xt_multiport xt_mark xt_mac xt_limit xt_length xt_esp xt_dscp xt_dccp xt_ comment xt_TRACE xt_TCPMSS xt_SECMARK xt_NFQUEUE xt_NFLOG xt_MARK xt_DSCP xt_CLASSIFY nfnetlink_queue nfnetlink_log nfnetlink x_tables cls_fw sch_cbq sch_gr ed sch_red sch_sfq ext2 fuse dm_snapshot dm_mirror dm_mod eeprom w83781d hwmon_vid i2c_ali15x3 usbhid hid parport_pc parport floppy button thermal processor pcspkr e100 mii uhci_hcd i2c_piix4 rtc tulip i2c_core intel_agp usbcore agpgart evdev Pid: 9597, comm: webcam-server Not tainted (2.6.24-xav-p3 #1) EIP: 0060:[<c0153fff>] EFLAGS: 00010046 CPU: 0 EIP is at kfree+0x47/0x6f EAX: 40080000 EBX: c1bd4000 ECX: d17c2650 EDX: c102a200 ESI: 00000286 EDI: c1510000 EBP: c18cf094 ESP: d196fe1c DS: 007b ES: 007b FS: 0000 GS: 0000 SS: 0068 Process webcam-server (pid: 9597, ti=d196e000 task=d1b299f0 task.ti=d196e000) Stack: c1bd4000 d31c4560 d17c2550 d4bdcbf5 00000010 c0157bf1 00000000 00000000 d380de20 d31c4560 d381f500 00000000 c1b5bb60 c0155514 00000000 d381f500 00000003 00000010 c01148a4 00000000 00000001 d1b299f0 00000002 d196ff10 Call Trace: [<d4bdcbf5>] qc_v4l_close+0x3e/0x94 [quickcam] [<c0157bf1>] __fput+0x96/0x13e [<c0155514>] filp_close+0x51/0x58 [<c01148a4>] put_files_struct+0x55/0x96 [<c01158a2>] do_exit+0x1fd/0x618 [<c011a0ff>] recalc_sigpending+0xa/0x1b [<c011b54e>] dequeue_signal+0x95/0xee [<c0115d0e>] sys_exit_group+0x0/0xd [<c011bc15>] get_signal_to_deliver+0x35e/0x36e [<c0103325>] do_notify_resume+0x81/0x5d6 [<c0147218>] __do_fault+0x272/0x2ac [<c01484d1>] handle_mm_fault+0x239/0x4b9 [<d4bddc49>] qc_v4l_ioctl+0x0/0xbd7 [quickcam] [<c0160532>] do_ioctl+0x3e/0x4d [<c0160729>] vfs_ioctl+0x1e8/0x1ff [<c0160795>] sys_ioctl+0x55/0x60 [<c0103c6a>] work_notifysig+0x13/0x19 ======================= Code: e0 3a c0 8b 02 25 00 40 02 00 3d 00 40 02 00 75 03 8b 52 0c 8b 02 25 00 40 02 00 3d 00 40 02 00 75 03 8b 52 0c 8b 02 84 c0 78 04 <0f> 0b eb fe 8b 4a 18 8b 19 8b 03 3b 43 04 72 0b 89 c8 89 da e8 EIP: [<c0153fff>] kfree+0x47/0x6f SS:ESP 0068:d196fe1c ---[ end trace 4a5e785e4572425e ]--- Fixing recursive fault but reboot is needed!
