G'day Ola, Thanks for the problem report. I'm happy to assist. The log from Andrej shows a termination of pppd via SIGTERM, which might have been triggered by pptp ... but as Andrej found out later, scripts were the cause. I'm also interested in knowing how the scripts did it.
Why did it used to work? I've reviewed the code changes from 1.7.0 to 1.7.2 and the best I can find is the older version mishandling of the return value from select(2), or the removal of the sigset in util.c. Also, I wonder if pppd changed. There has been much discussion of pppd's curious "kill all processes in the process group" behaviour. -- James Cameron http://quozl.netrek.org/ HP Open Source, Volunteer http://opensource.hp.com/ PPTP Client Project, Release Engineer http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
