Package: smtm
Version: 1.6.9.1
Severity: grave
found 1.6.9
thanks

smtm will not start. It fails with the following error message:
Can't use string ("3") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use
at /usr/bin/smtm line 412. This is after I removed the files ~/.smtm/
and ~/.smtmrc

1.6.9 has actually been working fine for me, but it doesn't work any
more either. I think the problem was triggerd by a recent perl upgrade.
It was recently upgraded in Testing from 5.8 to 5.10.

I tried to work around the problem by commenting out the "use strict"
line. After doing so, the program would start, but wouldn't display my
stocks. I tried adding them again, and it just added a blank line. I
had two stocks displayed before these problems, and now I have two
blank lines displayed.

Correct. And smtm 1.6.10 fixes it.
