I've tried various upgrade scenarios[0] in a chroot and haven't been able
to reproduce the problem. I'm unsure as to what happened in your setup
but seeing as how I haven't been able to reproduce it and the
Conflicts/Replaces fields are setup correctly, I'm going to close the
bug.
[0] - etch -> 1:7.1.293-3, etch -> 1:7.1.293-3 w/modified vimrc.tiny,
etch -> 1:7.1-266+1 -> 1:7.1.293-3
