Package: fop

 apt-get install fop

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
fop: Depends: j2re1.3 but it is not installable or
j2re1.4 but it is not installable or
java2-runtime but it is not installable
Depends: libbatik-java (>=3D 1.5.1-1) but it is not going to be inst=
alled
E: Broken packages

I'm not sure whether it should depend on java-virtual-machine or not and if=
not I don't know how can this be solved!

Actually, fop is part of contrib. Packages in contrib and non-free are
allowed to depend on certain packages not part of Debian (whereas
packages in main are not). For this reason, this is not even a bug.

Andi
