Previous release of kexec-tools did not build on powerpc which is why I had removed powerpc from the list of architectures (see <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=338846>). Are you sure this version (20080227) builds and works reliably on powerpc?
